First all-in-one mobile solution combining SafeGuard® PDA with GSMK CryptoPhone® voice and SMS encryption software offers encryption for data, e-mail, voice and SMS

Utimaco – The Data Security Company, and voice and message encryption specialist GSMK (Gesellschaft für Sichere Mobile Kommunikation mbH), presented the first fully integrated PDA and smart phone security solution at CeBIT, the worlds largest technology trade fair in Hannover, Germany today. The new CryptoPhone “SMT Secure Mobile Terminal solution” provides 360º protection and encryption for data residing on the mobile device as well as encryption of voice, SMS and e-mail messages exchanged using the device. By combining the latest version of data encryption and authentication software SafeGuard PDA 4.25 along with the CryptoPhone Security Profile Manager in the PDA firmware, data on the mobile device is protected against external attacks, theft or loss, or even a hard reset of the device due to SafeGuard PDA's protection mechanisms.. At the same time, the GSMK CryptoPhone software on the mobile device encrypts confidential phone calls as well as SMS messages, thus protecting the user's communication against unauthorized interception and bugging. The new solution is available immediately from GSMK.

The Secure Mobile Terminal all-in-one solution combines the strengths of the latest release of SafeGuard PDA and the GSMK CryptoPhone voice and message encryption software. The features of SafeGuard PDA 4.25 include completely transparent file filter encryption that protects data in PDA memory and removable media against unauthorized access. Additionally, it offers an easy encrypted data exchange between PC and PDA platforms via memory cards or e-mail with full support for Microsoft MSFP and Exchange Server. Flexible, centrally enforceable security settings and configuration rights for end users are also available. The latest release of SafeGuard PDA also dynamically selects country-specific emergency numbers based on the configured time zone and a policy file. The latest release of GSMK CryptoPhone software in turn offers military-grade encryption for telephone calls as well as text messages, featuring support for self-destructing 'Eyes Only' SMS, smart folders, and a fully encrypted storage subsystem for secure messages and keys.
