Utimaco wins major order for new product generation SafeGuard Enterprise from a Canadian Government Agency

Oberursel, 30th June 2008 - Utimaco, the Data Security Company, has won a major order from a Canadian government agency for SafeGuard Enterprise. While Utimaco’s American subsidiary is the agency´s vendor of record, this is the most significant order for Utimaco from this
customer to date. With a twenty-five year history of providing best-in-class enterprise solutions for data protection, Utimaco launched its new product generation for information protection and control in March 2007. The recent release of SafeGuard Enterprise version 5.3 offers the only solution on the market that combines the critical port and device control, device encryption, secure data exchange and the integration of third party encryption to a security suite with central management.

SafeGuard Enterprise license sales has contributed 21.5% to Utimaco Data Protection division license revenues in the first nine months of its current fiscal year 2007/2008. This new major order, which will be invoiced in the fourth quarter of 2007/2008, is further confirmation of Utimaco´s product strategy to offer a unique security suite with a multi-layered security architecture centered on industry-leading encryption and Data Leakage Prevention (DLP) technologies.
