SafeGuard PaymentServer

An ever increasing number of cashless payments are being carried out nowadays. The use of credit and debit cards, as well as easy online banking, has become well-established worldwide. This development is however only possible because users trust the security of electronic payment transactions.

Banks, card issuers and payment service providers have developed and implemented international security standards (e.g. EMV, PCI DSS) in order to guarantee the trustworthiness of transactions. These standards not only place demands on the security of the entire infrastructure (e.g. securing of networks and Internet portals), but also, and above all, on the protection of sensitive data such as private keys and card PINs.

The SafeGuard PaymentServer guarantees the secure generation and processing of this sensitive data in a highly secure HSM environment. The execution of entire process steps (including e.g. PIN calculations, key derivations) within the Hardware Security Module guarantees that no confidential data and/or intermediate results are located anywhere outside of the HSM.

The SafeGuard PaymentServer is available for the 19’’ network appliance versions (LAN platform) of the SafeGuard CryptoServer S-Series and CS-Series.
