Tamperproof time stamps

An ever increasing number of business processes, for example e-mail communication and online holiday reservations, are now completed electronically. For many business processes, it is important to know when these activities took place and/or to be able to verify the exact time of the activity afterwards.

A timestamp provides clear evidence as to when transaction data or a document in a specific format were available. The timestamp function of the SafeGuard TimestampServer applies a tamperproof, official time to events.

This is necessary for activities such as recording the exact time of receipt of an order, of the storage of documents in an archiving system or of the submission of offers for online auctions and online stock exchange transactions. Any change made to a “time stamped” document is detectable.

The SafeGuard TimestampServer is available for the 19’’ network appliance versions (LAN platform) of the SafeGuard CryptoServer S-Series and CS-Series.
