Steve Munford is Chief Executive Officer of Sophos Plc. and has executive responsibility for all aspects of running Sophos. He was the President of ActiveState prior to its acquisition by Sophos in 2003. Under his leadership, ActiveState established itself as a global leader in email security software. Steve was President of Sophos for North America, 2003-2005. During 2005, he was Chief Operating Officer, responsible for the day-to-day running of the company and its senior management team and was appointed as CEO in the same year.

Steve received a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Western Ontario and has an MBA from Queen's University, Ontario.
