Software Engineer (m/f/x)

Your tasks

  • Designs, develops and maintains software products;
  • Analyzes requirements and develops innovative, useful software solutions;
  • Modifies existing software products to add new functions, adapt to new hardware, improve performance or enhance usability;
  • Participate in all aspects from detailed programming to high-level system design;
  • Make contributions to the whole development process from proposed solution to release, including coordination of work of third parties involved in the project;
  • Definition of requirements together with product management;
  • Author and review requirement specifications for completeness, identify areas that require further clarification, and suggest alternatives in line with business needs;
  • Technical coordination with suppliers;
  • Design and development of test environments, including assistance in development of test equipment for the production department and for suppliers, if appropriate;
  • Prioritize multiple activities and schedule own time to deliver against agreed objectives;
  • Suggest improvements to designs, usage of tools, standards and procedures across engineering and the wider organization and take ownership for the implementation of elements assigned by manager;
  • Conduct presentations to cross-functional groups on products and technologies;
  • Provide other employees pro-actively and re-actively with your expert input and advice;
  • Close cooperation with other departments within the business unit, e.g., product management, hardware development and production;
  • Coach other hardware engineers on technologies, processes, and products to enable them to contribute more effectively;
  • Planning and tracking of software development projects.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related;
  • 5+ years of experience within a similar industry;
  • Reports to the R&D Director.
