We would like to take this opportunity and thank you for your loyalty to our company in the past year and to wish you and your family Happy Holidays!
As in the past years, we will use our spending as meaningful as possible, replacing traditional cards and gifts by donating to charity instead.
This year our donations go to:
Aachener Hände - Buddy project of SKM for unaccompanied minors fleeing from abroad
Worldwide, there are currently more than 50 million people on the run - 50% of which are children and adolescents. The number of who enter the German territory unaccompanied minors has increased in recent years steadily. Close to 700 young refugees are currently under supervision of the youth welfare office in Aachen alone. The project is extremely successful in our region due the fact that there are a lot of people, who volunteered as mentors - and a corresponding number of refugees. Currently, the bottleneck is rather the qualifications of godparents, and therefore financial assistance is the best that can be given here. The project is financially supported by the city of Aachen, NRW, Caritas and the Diocese of Aachen and private donations.

Utimaco has already since a number of years with good experience donated to the system of SOS-childrens villages. For this year we have chosen a country recently struck by a series of natural disasters and a place where children from SOS-villages all over the world can come together and spend a few weeks of international encounters and fun time together: The SOS summer village Caldonazzo in Italy. Children live here in summer a couple of weeks in tents and simple huts and engage on joint activities.
