The spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus continues to be of global concern. Utimaco’s focus in this critical situation is on protecting the health, security and productivity of customers, partners and colleagues. As we experience from manifold customer interactions, Utimaco´s cybersecurity solutions are especially critical and important to secure our customer infrastructures and provide digital trust in a rapidly changing environment.

Our global Crisis Management Team is monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely and is implementing response measures aligned with government guidelines and directives (for example from the Robert-Koch-Institute and the US National Institutes of Health) to support our Business Continuity program.

The Crisis Management Team updates our employees about the current status of this crisis and next steps to mitigate risks on a regular basis.

We have taken several key actions to ensure that we continue to deliver for our customers and partners during this unprecedented time

Product availability and Service:

  • Utimaco’s data centers and critical infrastructure are fully functional and backed by multiple redundancies. We have taken steps to ensure that support is in place and available to serve customers securely from remote locations.
  • We are actively managing our supply chain to ensure production continuity and the availability of components. We have sufficient hardware on stock to continue delivering our products.
  • Most of our Developers, Support Engineers, Project Managers, Team Managers and Management are working from home. In Germany, we have introduced a careful, staged return to office approach with alternating teams coming to the office several days per week while the rest of our staff continues to work from home. At our office building, we have implemented several safety measures to ensure a safe work environment, including a supply of face masks, disinfectant and limitations to the number of people allowed to be in one room.
  • Especially Support continues its service without interruption.

Home office and Travel: In adherence with local requirements for individual and social distancing, our global support, sales and product development teams are enabled to be securely working from home without any impact on their ability to interact with and support our customers and partners.

We have dramatically increased our remote communication capabilities to ensure our team’s availability for remote meetings and interaction. Consequently, all business travel and events have been cancelled or postponed.

We continue to monitor and evaluate the situation to ensure that we are taking appropriate actions to protect our customers, partners and colleagues and would like to thank you for your trust and partnership.
